Recommending the mezzo-soprano Bolte, whom he has heard sing Azucena, Fidès, Elisabeth's aria [from Tannhäuser] and the Ortrud-Elsa duet from Lohengrin, saying that he suffered a stroke and has been confined to bed for two years and two months, etc.
